Final blog entry!

Every international students has their own unique experience. because of their dual language ability, they would have lot of more different experience than natice american students. when they first time came to this campus, they must had some difficulties in a lot of situations. herer is the list:
1. got lost by looking the map
2. having trouble to ask other students for direction ( wrong pronounciation)
3. have some arguments because using wrong words
4. making some awkward moments by pick wrong word to express
5. have wrong drinks
6. being mocked by other because they don't know how to express themselves
7.too shy to make friends
those thing would make our international students have some struggle but they would be alright after couple months. those experience would be very precious when we think about it after a while.

In every culture, people would try to invent many skills and technologies to improve their life such as, transportation improvement, making a ideal stuff for their capital, and language invention.In " Writing and Recording Knowledge", author talked about the writing system in Pre-Columbian. The language style they used is just like graph, each thing had their own meaning and they did not have any word to represent verb. For instance, the graph of human can be different because of wearing , showing the power they have by what they holding, and showing the scene of execution. comparing to the writing system in chinese, it had some different part.
In Chinese culture, the writing system was changed a lot by the time. At the beginning of inventing language in ancient china, the writing system they used just like Pre-Columbian. Every word just looked like graph and did not have any word to present verb. They kept improving the writing system thus it not only started to have verb tobut also the outlook of the words becoming elegance. the writing system also create many adjactive words to make the letter decently.

After read this article, literacy extend some part of technology. Literacy give technology more opportunities to create some new ways to express texts such as, Instant message, text message, and blog. it gives people have more options to communicate with friends and family. on the opposite, technology also gives literacy different looks. technology development make literacy have decent expression; for instence, blake and white movie turns to colorful, stardard way for music preserver changes to digital, and drawing picture in the computer. if we do not have technology booming, our literacy would be really narrow. therefore, technology booming various literacy options.

if i am audience

In a speech or essay, every writer or speaker always wants to catch people's attention and persuades them to understand his or her view point. He or she will make some jokes or pictures to let people feel not bored. if i am one of the audience in a speech, i really do not want to get into a boring speaker's speech or reading an old fashion essay because i will probably fall asleep or throw that paper away. The writer or speaker that will catch my attention, he or she must knows put some joke or humor conversation in speech and use some easy to example to persuade me to believe his or her opinions. Giving complicate or hard-understanding example only makes me do not want to care or believe on it. Hence, i would like the speaker gives me some easy example to guide me to his or her main point.

In the high intensive game, player would get excited when they finished clutch play. Getting too hype to get technical fault and being the main reason to make his team lost the game, the athelete should be benched for his whole season. A good athelet should not being so excited that he or she make a important play becasue the game is not over yet. This poster and couple links show that Al Harrinton is the worst basketball player ever, he got the same reason of technical foul twice in six weeks and those technical fouls were the main reason to cause his team to loose the game. If i were the team coach or manager, i would bench him forever. Puting him on the court would not only let us have less chance to see other potential players but also have more possibility to loose in close game.

Can you believe a guy can do a double back flip by riding a dirt bike? Travis Pastrana is the first one and probably the only one can do that. The reason why Travis Pastrana is a famous moto-x rider because he is creative and willing to do some crazy stuff. when he comes out a idea for moto-x trick, he would stuck in his back yard to try that trick till he makes it. even though he got a lot of injures, he still enthusiastic to do crazy tricks and make those tricks look decent. when people think he can't do the trick that he declare in the game, he will make it and win the champion to shut their mouth. no one believed that Travis pastrana can do double back flip in the clip and he did it and won the 2006 moto-x gold medal. Thus, his passion and personlity really made x game 2006 turn to a greatest game ever and his incridible stunt will be the highlight stunt forever.

This movie clip tells us that it still has some people do not want to go to troop camp. the way they try to avoid their duty are totally different than what i heard in my country. on the one hand they tried to be homosexual and injure by accidencial shooting in the clip. on the other hand, people in taiwan would try to gain weight, gain near sight, and fake heartattack. No matter which way they try to avoid the military stuff, they still have to realize that military is your duty. when your country needs you, you have no chance to say no.

Although this song does not really talk about having mutilple relationships with different girls directly, they use different flavors of cookie instead. Each verses talks about how he can't resist to cheat on his girlfriend. In this young generation, couple man would cheat on their girl friend and do not want to change it. some of them think it is excited and other are just think the girl that he's cheating is better than his girl friend. more and more people think cheating is accetable or part of relationship but having only one girl friend is the best. Having relationships with only one girl friend not only is respect to our girl friend but also reduce us chance to get into trouble.
Focusing to have relationship with only one girl friend is showing our respect. we would put all our care on them. For instance, we would know what they want easily when they have some sight and knowing what our girl friend like and dislike. therefore, we should only have one girl friend in one time.
Having only one girl friend in one time reduce us chance to get into trouble. If we have many girl friends in a time, we not only have to remember lot of personal information such as, birthday, horoscope, and favorite stuff; but also have to put the right information on the right one. otherwise, the truth would be revealed. thus, we should only have one girl friend in one time.
Because of respect and promblem reduciton, we should only have concetrate on one realtionship in one time.

This slogan shows part of my personality i want to ; no matter what our environment changes, i am still what i am. people change alot because of their environment change or some issues change their view points. For instance, some poor guys change their personality when they get rich or people change their way to deal with life when they get famous. i moved from a small village to a big city when i was young. Due to environment, i adjusted myself to more fit into bit city. For example, not to care about neighbor, our own benefit is the first priority in our life, and not having very close relationships with friends. This article told us that we can analyze that literacy in three perspects such as, adaptation, power, and state of grace. Everything should have their own literacy no matter it is a letter, paint, or sculpture. Each stuff must has meaning or story to tell someone who understands and inspires them in the daily life. In the end of the article, autor pointed the answer that why we might received different literacy meaning eventhough we intepreted the same stuff. the reason why we will see the different sides is our education and our living environment. Those reasons could really change our viewpoint alot.

If you have chance to get a tattoo, what kind of tattoos do you want to pick? In this generation, more and more people have at least one tattoo on their body. Famous celebrity Like Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox, they have a lot of tattoo on their arm and back. Each of tattoos must have their story that the owner want to rememeber. In this picture, the guy gets his back tattoo and that tattoo contains the Star Wars main character and Star Wars famous scene. This picture not only tells how much he loves Star Wars trilogy but also gives us a clue that which characters affects him a lot. the guy with this tattoo might not have the character's characteristic such as, Luke's brave, leia independence , and Han solo's compassionate. Thus, he uses this tattoo to remind himself what he does not have and encourage him to learn those important personalities for his life. Although having a tattoo is kind of trend in this generation, having a meaningless could be the worst decision that we make in our life. some people might got a tattoo when they were drunk or bored but after while they found out that tattoo was horrible then they wanted to use laser to erase it. Laser erasion not only need lot of money to do it but also way painful than getting a tatoo. For instance, a famous rapper decide to erase his tattoo sleeve on his both arms because he thinks his tattoos are terrible and nasty; therefore, he spends million dollars to ask a medical center use his gene to grow his new skin to replace the tattoo sleeves. Hence, we have to think deeply and clearly about does this tattoo have huge meaning for me or it is just fascinate for you before you going to have a tattoo. otherwise, you would have terrible payback on both body suffering and capital spending for your regression.

In college life, the most famous culture is drinking culture. Some people say if you never go to any drinking party, you are not study in college. This song shows the big picture that how crazy that a college drinking party can be. In the chorus, Asher Roth appears little part the insane part in the party such as, girl gets naked, smoking weed, and pass out at 3 then do it again tomorrow. this short chorus already told the crazy scene in the party, people get insane, girl willing to show their body to everyone, and someone pass out on the floor. We all know it is bad to party that crazy but think about it; if we do not have those crazy party experience, we might regret that we should party that hard for the memories. If you already around 30-40 and do not have those experience, wouldn't it so weird that making up your regression to party that hard? people might think that old man need to grow up. Thus, we need party hard when we are young. In the first verse part, Asher Roth mentions that cheap beer and vodka were what we really need in the party and beer pong is the most popular game in the party. In the party, cheap beer, vodka and beer pong are the basic equipment to bring party crazy. If a college drinking party does not have any drinks or party games, no one would come to this party. In second verse, he said the most important rules in the party. People in the party should make sure not to wear shoes on when they pass out, leave when the party out of beer, and wear extra condom with stranger.
Those rule are not only the guide to teach people how to have a happy party but also a text book to let people know how ot avoid some problems in the party. hence, we will not have some strangers come to tell us that she has a baby in the future or find out that we get really nasty haircut when we wasted. this song gives us a hint that even though joining couple crazy partys is what people have to do in their college life, avoiding to have troble in the party are also improtan too.

If you showed a great talent in one field when you was young, will you keep drilling this skill for your future? some people might ignore it and follow their parents instruction to become what parents want in the future but this commercial give us a different way to live our life. we can work hard to develop our talent to use it as advantage in our life.

In the first part of the commercial, it shows that Ladanian Tomlinson already showed that he is good at running in his mother's ab and Troy Palamalu revealed his talent in the box that keeps children alive. When they were young kids, Tomlinson appeared great gift about avoiding some barriers and Palamalu showed his skill at tackle and "destroy"things. when they were teenager, they already used their talent in sports field. For instance, Tomlinson already played really good in Running back on the field and Palamalushowed his strength to knock down player on the basketball court. In the final part of commercial, it showed the reason why they were star in college and professional football league is they trained it really hard and done drill by themselves when no one wanted to do it. In the commercial, it told us that we should let children to develop their talent not just tell them what to do in the future. If we just tell them what to do directly we might just lost a Tomlinson or Palamalu in their interest field. Another meaning revealed was hard working can let you achieve anything. In American culture, people believe that diligence can let your dream come true or achieving your goal. In the commercial, we see Tomlinson and Palamalu not only work really hard on their drill but also ask for more drill except routine drill. one important thing is both of them willing to train in terrible condition. Thus, this commercial tells us if we keep our hard working on any thing we want, nothing can stop us to achieve it and we should develop our talent and use it for our career if we find our talent when we are young.

A day of my life

Last Friday was a the worst day of my recent life. I only had short time to sleep because i studied for my statistic exam; therefore, i just stone or fall asleep in all of my Friday classes. when i saw the exam, i was so mad because it was just like my sample midterm but i did not study all of my sample midterm. when i was playing basketball in the gym, i got elbow on my throat and bitchslap by a drunk guy, it really pissed me off. i almost ran to takle him down and had a fight with that drunk guy. hopefully, i decided not to do that because i would spend my whole night in the jail if i really had a fight with him. Later of the game, i strained my leg and cramp my calf. therefore, i needed my friend to give me a ride or i could not go home by myself. because of those crap, last friday was the shitest day for my recent life ever.

this commercial relates to the logic perspective from " Five Way Of Interpreting a Text". Troy Polamalu and LaDainian Tomlinson are the top players in the league because they not only have good talent but also willing to train themselves. If athletes do not want to practice by themselve, they will not be the best no metter on the field or the court. In logically, people who want to be the best on their field need to have willing to practice by themselves.

Why does school suck?

Most of students have this thought at least once a day. Even though school gave us education and trained some daily skills, schools usually drove students crazy. For instance, different majors teachers might set the homework due or exam date on the same day and principles or teachers would make some unreasonable rules to ask students to follow it. Thus, students had to work really hard on their assighments and being cautious in the school. If we did nnot pay attnetion on those stuff, we would not only failed the class but alos got detension form school. this slogan challenges our culture because most of people only focus on schooling is the mainly way to get better fuuter but does someone thinks about the unfair issues for student in school?

In the article "Dantonio gives '09 recruiting class 'A' grade", I found out that the article fit in one of the five ways of interpreting. The article fits in social perspective because it has social awareness. The article maybe can not attract all people's attention but it catch both spartan fans and Lansing residents eyes. It gives us the information about top ranking players we recruited and the ranking of national recruitment. In "From Ghetto Lady to Critical Linguist ", author mentioned the struggled for them to pronounce four, more, and sour. That story reminds me my childhood English learning experience. It was hard for me to say some specific word such as, responsibility,cooperation, and restaurant. No matter how my teacher taught me to say them, i still said them really weird. Thus, I recorded the pronunciation than practiced rapidly. Even though the practice was boring, it did help me to adjust the pronunciation and i really cherished this experience.

Language is really important for us to perceive the world. Even though we still can learn many thing by practicing and stimulating other people's action, living without language could make our life back to ancient time. Without language, we can not receive any information and learn any knowledge. If there are no languages in our life, our world could worse than ever. we might not have such high technologies, nice music, and great movies. It would not only make our cultures have lack of variety but also shollow. Therefore, language is the most valueable thing for us to receive the world.
